Description
- Providing legal and regulatory advice on business banking products, unsecured lending, and financial services regulation.
- Identifying and managing legal risk in response to regulatory developments.
- Advising on consumer protection, compliance, and risk management strategies.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders, regulators, and industry bodies to shape legal and regulatory policies.
Profile
- A solicitor with 5+ years PQE, ideally with experience in financial services, banking, or regulatory law.
- Experienced in advising on business banking, financial services regulation, and consumer protection laws.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, policy development, and risk management.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance legal risk with business strategy.
- A strong communicator, able to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
