Description

As Of Counsel, you will take a leadership position within our Real Estate team, overseeing complex transactions and driving client relationships. You will work closely with major corporations, investors, developers, and financial institutions, providing strategic advice on acquisitions, disposals, development projects, leasing, and investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading on major real estate transactions and projects
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value contracts, leases, and development agreements
  • Offering strategic legal advice on acquisitions, disposals, investments, and developments
  • Managing junior solicitors and mentoring them through complex matters
  • Collaborating with partners and other senior team members to shape the direction of the real estate practice

Profile

A successful Real Estate Solicitor - Of Counsel should have:

  • 9+ years experience practicing as a real estate solicitor
  • Strong understanding of Scottish real estate law, with a commercial mindset
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead on large transactions and provide strategic, client-focused advice
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior solicitors
  • Highly driven, with the ability to operate at pace and manage competing priorities
