A superb opportunity has presented itself with our client, a leading multidisciplinary practice of Engineers, Planners and Project Managers. As their highways group continues to go from strength to strength they have created a role for a Highways Director in their thriving Glasgow office.

Seen as a key appointment to the company you will be a champion in Highway Engineering and well versed in all types of highways schemes from feasibility through to implementation, within both the private and public sectors and will include regeneration schemes, LA frameworks, National Highways projects, infrastructure developments and a variety of projects for private developers.

There will be a focus on leading on a number of major projects currently under way across the region, which will include the management of existing clients, whilst also being able to grow the department by building external relationships, formulating tenders and winning work.

The group have a strong workload particularly across both the private and public sectors and are keen to appoint an individual who is both private/public sector focussed. There is certainly a flexibility in terms of your background, with experience in a consultancy or contracting environment being considered.

It is hoped that you will possess over 15 years` experience within a similar environment and have a proven track record of profitable delivery of major highways for national and local authority clients. Alongside your knowledge you will possess excellent organisation and time management skills and have the ability to lead and develop a large team of professionals to deliver effectively and efficiently within cost, time, profitability and quality requirements.
