Senior Freight Operations Coordinator

Location: Glasgow

Salary: up to 40,000 (DOE)

My client is looking for an experienced Road, Air and Sea Freight Forwarder to join their team based in Glasgow and help develop their UK operations.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Road/Air/Ocean Import and Export operations from inception to delivery.
• Dealing with customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and fast delivery of service.
• Utilize existing freight/IT systems to keep accurate records and data pertinent to the shipments being provided.
• Undertake the start to finish Customs clearances and processing via CDS.
• Providing and ensuring all customs data and documents are provided to 3rd parties/HMRC as and when required.
• Invoice on time and accurately.
• Maintain and develop relationships with customers to up-sell and cross-sell across all modes and methods.

Requirements:

• Multimodal Freight Forwarding experience is essential.
• Experience dealing with both Import and Export Operations is desirable.
• Experience with Start to Finish. Customs Clearances.
• Experience working for a UK based freight forwarding company.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good verbal and written communication.
