Your new companyOur client is one of the UK's leading providers in their industry, supplying over 10,000 different product lines to their customers throughout the UK.

Your new roleThis position is working Tuesday-Friday from 0830-1800 and on Saturday from 0500-1700. To ensure that the transport team meet and exceed the budgeted KPI's in terms of costs and legal requirements. Working with all the depot and company departments to ensure that they deliver high levels of engagement and customer service by managing efficient route planning, attendance, and robust training for all drivers. To ensure that all drivers are fully trained in all aspects of their role and support them with having a clear guidance on the expectations of their role to deliver great service to our customers. To ensure all drivers are supported to meet all legal requirements of their role including working time directive and infringements.

What you'll need to succeedSomeone with an excellent team ethos, who is able to lead by example and act courageously and responsibly whilst having pride and passion in what they do. Experience of working in a supervisory/managerial role within a transport environment. A holder of an international CPC qualification would be preferred. Caring about our customers and colleagues and being accountable and taking ownership to find great solutions. Having a passion for what you do and who you do it for and caring about their customers and colleagues. To engage with all drivers daily, at the start or end of their shifts (depending on your rota). Document any driver issues and feedback as appropriate the following day with actions taken to reduce daily issues. To ensure effective teamwork within the transport department.
