Our specialist client is currently recruiting a Warehouse Manager who will be a forward-thinking, highly motivated, experienced people manager, who can oversee staff and the efficient transport, receipt, storage, processing, and despatch of a variety of products.
An essential part of this role is the ability to display leadership skills and manage staff, Warehouse & Logistics. HR based Investigation and disciplinary experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
Strategically manage warehouse & staff in compliance with company's policies and vision
Oversee receiving, stock flow, warehousing & distribution demands as well as Transport, and processing operations.
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization & order priority.
Coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures, adhering to all legislation & compliance requirements.
Liaise with clients, (internal & external) suppliers, and transport companies.
Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
Recruit, select, orient, coach, support and motivate employees.
Organise and produce reports and statistics regularly (Hourly, Daily, Weekly KPI achievements)
Essential experience
Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
Health & Safety background, IOSH preferable
Strong communicator, decision maker and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators
Knowledge of internal transport/Drivers' management.
Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages - Excel
