An Engineering & Maintenance Manager is required to oversee the strategic development and daily operational aspects of the Engineering Department within the energy from waste client. This role will be based in Glasgow and will involve ensuring the efficiency and safety of all engineering operations.

Description

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Engineering Department.
  • Ensure all engineering operations adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
  • Stay updated with latest best practices and technological advancements.

Profile

A successful Engineering & Maintenance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing an Engineering Department.
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial processes and machinery.
  • Experience within Energy from Waste, Power Generation or Waste Management would be beneficial.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
