Our client is a large Global manufacturer with a global footprint. It is an established site with an established LONG SERVING engineering team. Staff retention is excellent. Training, development, and support is provided on a manufacturing site. You will help the site make high-quality processed products.
We have a permanent vacancy is for a Mechanical Bias maintenance engineer
Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production
- Leading electrical and instrumentation, repair, and working with s CMMS
- ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance
- Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults
- Design, trial, and implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
- Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements – Days Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering
- Manufacturing Industry experience
- Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics will be an advantage
- Experience in fabrication and welding would be preferred
- Fitting, Fabricating and Weldsing experience preferred
- A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
