Maintenance Engineer - Day Shift

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a passion for ensuring safe and efficient operations? Our client, a leading organisation in the industrial sector, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at the Glasgow plant. With a focus on Steam boilers, Hydraulic Systems, and Compressed Air Systems, this hands-on role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our client's operations.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining mechanical plant, carrying out repairs, and undertaking scheduled maintenance tasks to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime. Ideally you will be mechanically biased and have some electrical experience.

Responsibilities will include:

Safely executing maintenance jobs in compliance with site rules and risk assessments.
Servicing and repairing mechanical plant.
Undertaking maintenance requisition requests promptly and efficiently.
Conducting planned maintenance tasks to maximise plant efficiency.
Communicating potential plant problems to line management.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and regulations.
Maintaining the engineering workshop and offices to a high standard.

Candidates who experience of servicing within Blow Molding, Injection Molding, Polymer/Polystyrene industries are high desirable - however other manufacturing plant experience will also be considered.

To excel in this role, you should have proven hands-on engineering skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A positive attitude towards work and alignment with our client's values is crucial. Responding to out-of-hours calls on rare occasions may be required.

Higher education in electrical or mechanical engineering fields is desirable but not essential.
