Are you an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for offshore and wind farm projects? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our client's dynamic team based in Glasgow.

As Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing engineering activities related to offshore and wind farm projects. If you have a strong background in engineering and a desire to contribute to the growth of renewable energy, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and utilization of resources to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Oversee the engineering design, development, and implementation of offshore and wind farm projects, adhering to industry standards and regulations.Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with LOLLER, PUWER, and PSSR regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team, encouraging creative solutions and efficient practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, construction, and operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and integrity of the projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance project performance.


Ideal Background/Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy).
  • Proven experience in engineering management, preferably within the offshore or wind farm sector.
  • Strong understanding and experience of LOLLER, PUWER, and PSSR regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of offshore and wind farm projects, including design, construction, installation, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving project objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and practices within the offshore and wind farm industry.
