Site Manager – Up to £40,000 + Commercial Car (with private use) & Bonus

 

Situation:

Ford & Stanley are delighted to be partnered with a company specialising in external maintenance and environmental services across the UK on their search for an experienced Site Manager.

Established in 1973, our client has seen rapid growth since the takeover in 2004, seeing annual turnover growth from £8 million to £200 million in 2023.

With a strong commitment to sustainability, using technology and data to nurture environments and enable customers to deliver on their environmental promises.

Opportunity:

As a Site Manager you will be joining to enhance the Rail and Infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you'll support the Contract Manager in overseeing various arboriculture projects across the across Scotland especially in the central area between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Your expertise will be instrumental in propelling our projects forward, making previous arboriculture experience essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate closely with the Contract Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on-site.
  • Maintain efficiency in workloads while offering guidance and support to field-based teams to enhance cohesion and productivity.
  • Skilfully price work and execute projects and programmes of work, delivering results that exceed expectations.
  • Develop task briefs to provide clear direction and alignment with project objectives and engage with clients to address concerns and maintain satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage working hours to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel on-site.
  • Strategically plan possessions to minimise disruptions and maximise efficiency.
  • Oversee the seamless execution of projects, promptly addressing any issues that arise to ensure project continuity and quality.

 

Essential Criteria To Secure An Interview:

  • Arb or Veg/De-Veg experience.
  • Site management experience from relevant background – Rail, Highways, Construction.
  • Strong reactive management skills, capable of swift and effective decision-making.
  • Flexibility to travel and undertake overnight stays as necessary, including ad hoc weekend work.
  • Certifications including PTS (Personal Track Safety) is desirable but not essential.

 

Salary & Package:

  • Up to £45,000 + Commercial car (with private use) & discretionary bonus
  • Hybrid working role (if applicable)
  • Extensive benefit package
  • Monday – Friday working hours (flexibility) – 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime is available on a Ad-hoc basis.
