They are currently seeking aMechanical Design Engineer within Building Services to join their team.Your new roleYou'll be joining the Mechanical Design team and willhave the opportunity to run small projects, gain valuable experience from moresenior engineers and contribute to the mentoring of junior team members. Yourkey responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
- Design and specification of Mechanical Building Services systems.
- Detailed calculations using software like Amtech, Hevacomp, IES, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Collaborate with the Revit team to prepare models and drawings, with an understanding of Revit.
- Attending meetings with clients, contractors and other disciplines.
- Site surveys, inspections and monitor site works.
- Report and technical note writing.
- Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects.
- At least 3 years of post-grad experience in a mechanical design role within Building Services projects.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes.
- Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential.
- Have a working knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
