Connect Appointments are working with our major engineering client, who are renowned for giving outstanding service to their customers, while also delivering high value and quality engineering projects.

We have new opportunities for Mechanical Engineers to join the Glasgow facility, on a permanent basis.

The role will suit Mechanical Engineers that have worked in a workshop and a service delivery environment, where you will be visiting the clients customers to carry out engineering works.

  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: 39,741 per annum

Your duties as a Mechanical Engineer:

  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Repairing and maintenance of plant and equipment
  • New installation works
  • Testing and pre-commissioning of new plant
  • Identifying problematic plant and the subsequent faults

The successful Mechanical Engineer will be skilled in working on equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and similar type plant would be beneficial, as well as:

  • Possessing a recognised apprenticeship
  • Identify equipment on site as per enquiry.
  • The ability to organise and lead site service work, as well as diagnosing breakdown problems
  • Excellent collaboration skills
