Project Engineer

Location: This on-site role is an immediate requirement, located at 6 Kilmartin Pl, Uddingston, Glasgow G71 5PH.
Salary: c. £40,000 DOE. Company Pension Scheme, 30 days holiday entitlement per year and further benefits available.
Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Our company, Aerotron Avotec Ltd, are an aircraft component maintenance factory working in the civilian and military aviation sectors. Based In Uddingston, West Central Scotland.

Project Engineer / About the role:

The Project Engineering role we are looking at will mainly be involved in New Product Introduction and ongoing Engineering support of existing jobs, equipment and facilities. This generally involves;

Understanding and interpreting OEM Maintenance Data, drawings and schematics.
Specifying Processes required from within the Maintenance Data.
Establishing Test and Repair Equipment (including tooling) required.
Establishing Spare Parts (Overhaul and Repair) required.
Establishing consumable materials required.
Involvement in Sourcing or Producing above equipment / materials.
Development of Internal Procedures.
Liaise with Internal / External stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time.
Training and Development of Engineering and Workshop personnel.

Ideal candidates will have the following skills / attributes;

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar, HND minimum.
Mechanical Engineering background and experience, 2 years minimum in similar role.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems preferred.
Strong communication both verbal and written.
Technical writing.
2D and 3D CAD (Solidworks/DraftSight Preferred).
Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Project.
