Here at ISS, as one of the UK's Leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to develop our engineering team aligned against our client's corporate HQ in the centre of Glasgow

The site is large, highly corporate and classed as a critical environment home to numerous LV, HV electrical infrastructure, but also a variety of HVAC systems, and other mechanical equipment

As the Mechanical Engineer you will focus on the Mechanical side, working across  planned preventative reactive regime but also completing reactive repairs

The site is large and exciting, on a dynamic, settled account and best suits an engineer looking to advance their mechanical skills on a world class site

Actions will include:

  • Performs scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned equipment in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's maintenance instructions.
  • Observes mechanical systems and fixtures in operation to detect failures or locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles devices and removes defective parts. Inspects used parts and equipment for changes in calibration, dimensional requirements and manufacturer's specifications. Tests and calibrates systems and equipment to ensure proper system operations using test equipment or precision measuring instruments.
  • Lays out work assignments, determines methods, techniques and materials needed to effectively accomplish assignments.
  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company policies related to building operations and work safety.
  • Take responsibility for work and actions to show care 
  • Demonstrate honesty to show respect to colleagues, the client and work

We need from you:

  • Mechnical qualifications plus experience within HVAC
