Sonic Summary

MAA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tool Maker for a permanent position in Cumbernauld to join their Press Shop team.
The role involves repairing and maintaining press tools, die repairs, servicing and regrinding tools, and manufacturing new tooling and ancillary parts.
Candidates must have a Level 3 City & Guilds/Modern Apprenticeship and be time-served, with a solid understanding of engineering drawings.
The salary for this position is £40,000, depending on experience, with overtime pay at time and a half during the week and on Saturdays, and double time on Sundays.
The working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2:30pm on Fridays, totaling 36 basic hours per week.

Tool Maker

MAA Recruitment are looking for an experienced Tool Maker for their client based in the Cumbernauld area to add to their skilled team to repair and maintain press tolls and die repairs. Our client are urgently looking for a Toolmaker on a permanent basis to join their Press Shop team.

Role:

Repair and maintain press tools, die repairs

Service and regrind tools

Attend breakdowns, identify faults and problem solve

Manufacture new tooling and ancillary parts

Skills:

Time Served with Level 3 City & Guilds/Modern Apprenticeship required

Understanding of engineering drawings

Good planner, adaptable and flexible

Money:

£40k, depending on experience

OT time plus half during the week and on Saturdays

OT double time on Sundays

Hours:

8am-4pm Mon-Thurs

8am-2.30pm Fri

36 basic hours
