Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer required to join a leading provider of mechanical engineering products and systems.

The successful Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer will start office based in Glasgow selling and managing key accounts within the mechanical engineering industry via distribution channels and end users / OEM channels.

The successful Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer will ideally have experience selling, servicing, manufacturing, or managing key accounts within the Mechanical or Industrial Engineering sector such as hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical seals, pumps, motors, compressed air, valves, cylinders, power packs, gearboxes or similar Mechanical Engineering / Rotating Equipment products.

Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer Role
  • Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers in various industries.
  • Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development selling various Mechanical Engineering related products including mechanical seals, pumps, gaskets, cylinders, fittings, actuators, power packs, gearboxes and similar rotating equipment / mechanical engineering products.
  • Maintaining sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
  • Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
  • Working in the office in Glasgow with a view of progressing into an Area Sales Manager role
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer Requirements
  • Experience selling or servicing products within the Mechanical or Industrial Engineering sector such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, hoses, valves, cylinders, power packs, compressed air, gearboxes, cylinders, bearings, motors, gaskets, couplings, hoses or similar Mechanical Engineer products.
  • Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering manufacturer.
  • Mechanical Service Engineers looking to progress into a sales role will also be considered.
  • A Mechanical Engineering qualification is desirable, i.e. HNC, HND, Degree
  • A desire to progress into an external sales role within the company
  • Willingness to commute to the office in Glasgow
