Shift Mechanical Technician – Days

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to safely deliver the day-to-day maintenance on a waste site. Our client is a leading business within the Energy and Waste management industry, with a long-term goal of establishing sustainability and environmental efficiency.
This role will require working on a 4 on 4 off shift patterns (days only)
As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Safely and efficiently delivering the planned maintenance schedule
- Carrying out hands on maintenance on a range of mechanical equipment: conveyors, gearboxes, shredders, pumps etc
- Completing maintenance reports on CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Delivering improvement projects to increase plant reliability
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ/City & Guilds etc.)
- Proven experience working in a waste processing environment or similar heavy process eg: food production, FMCG, recycling and paper mill
- Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
