Primary Responsibilities- Assemble new pumps for original equipment (OE) and aftermarket orders, ensuring efficiency and adherence to work instructions.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders while maintaining quality standards.
- Work within the assembly department to ensure cost-effective manufacturing while meeting quality requirements.
- Take responsibility for the quality of your work, including self-inspection and completion of all necessary documentation and checklists.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to resolve assembly-related issues, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and updating of assembly documentation, tooling, and programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Provide on-site service support at customer locations as needed.
- Support company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Train and mentor peers and apprentices within the assembly department as required.
- Undertake additional training as needed to support professional development.
- Assist in the test area when necessary, including hydro, performance, noise, and vibration testing, as well as product setup and teardown according to work instructions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in other areas when required.
- Time-served Mechanical Fitter with up to three years of relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
- Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing techniques.
- Strong teamwork skills with a high level of energy and commitment to driving change.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
