Workshop Fitter
Carbon60 are currently looking for time-served mechanical fitters on behalf of one of our exciting Glasgow-based clients.
This client is notorious within their industry for providing and maintaining high quality equipment across an array of industries across the UK and globally.
This role will be centred around the Assembly, strip down, Maintenance and Service of both pumping and valve equipment - ensuring quality and functionality parameters are adhered to.
Salary: Competitive salary with significant OTE
Working Hours: Mon-Fri (Days) and 4 x 12 hours (Days/Nights/Rotating)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the build of Original and Aftermarket pumping equipment, as well as completing repair and service duties
- Maintain quality and functionality standards, ensuring work instructions are followed accurately
- Carry out self-inspection duties and complete necessary paperwork
- Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines
- Take part in continuous improvement activities to ensure costs and productivity are optimised
Role Requirements:
- Candidates must be Time-Served or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience working within industrial manufacturing/ Rotating Equipment/ Pumps/ Valves/ Gearboxes/ motors
- Excellent communicator - high level of written and verbal communication
- Physically fit - able to lift light to moderate objects
- Willing to travel - confident to drive to customer sites if required
