Payroll Assistant - Temp

Are you looking for a new challenge in payroll? Do you have experience in processing payroll for a large and diverse workforce? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our well-established client based in Glasgow City Centre.

Reed are looking for a payroll assistant to join our clients team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for:

• Processing payroll for over 500 employees across multiple locations on a monthly basis• Ensuring compliance with tax, national insurance, pension and other statutory deductions• Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and other external agencies• Resolving payroll queries and issues in a timely and professional manner• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records and reports• Processing multiple monthly payrolls• Posting payroll journals• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in payroll administration, preferably using Sage 50 Payroll• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail skills• Good communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel• A positive and flexible attitude

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the assignment, this will be fully office based.
