Three Bridges Recruitment is currently partnering with a renowned business on the outskirts of Glasgow. They are looking for a Payroll Assistant on a part time permanent basis, to support daily payroll administration in a growing, busy business. In this role you will work with and be mentored by a supportive Payroll Supervisor who will help you to develop your skills and experience further.

Job

The role of Payroll Assistant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of weekly wages and monthly salaries, including auto-enrolment
  • Managing all payroll components, including tax, National Insurance, statutory payments, and deductions
  • Assisting the Payroll Supervisor and providing coverage during holidays and absences
  • Handling payroll-related updates, such as onboarding new employees and processing leavers
  • Working closely with HR to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulatory requirements in data handling
  • Supporting in the year-end payroll processes and documentation, including P60s
  • Providing guidance on payroll tax regulations and the impact of employee benefits
  • Maintaining payroll compliance, accuracy, and efficiency

You

As a Payroll Assistant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Enthusiastic and keen willingness to learn
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
