Senior Sustainability Advisor

Glasgow / London with site travel

Circa 50,000 - 60,000 + Car allowance + Excellent Benefits

Are you keen to work with a major Civil Engineering and construction company who are keeping Sustainability at the heart of their operations and have won multiple awards for their sustainability strategy?

Would you like to join a growing and enthusiastic team to drive sustainability forward on a range of high-profile projects?

If the answer to the above is yes then you may be interested in the Senior Sustainability Advisor role I am currently recruiting for. This company turnover in excess of 700 million, and work across a range of sectors. This will be joining a well established team and working closely with the Group Head of Sustainability to help drive change on various projects.

Responsibilities for the Senior Sustainability Advisor will include:

  • Develop site specific Sustainability Strategy and implement the delivery of new initiatives across the project.
  • Support the supply chain by delivering training, new initiatives and innovations to help reduce carbon emissions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the environmental sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators, engaging with these contacts to drive sustainability performance forward.
  • Support the company's wider ambitions to reduce corporate carbon emissions.

The successful Senior Sustainability Advisor will have:

  • Demonstrable environmental experience, ideally within the construction, utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, or a related sector
  • Ideally professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWM) or a relevant degree
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A passion for Environment and Sustainability with an ability to influence a positive change with those around them.
