Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join an established and growing company in the North/East Greater Glasgow region. Our client is an international manufacturer, dedicated to Marine products world-wide.

Qualifications:

  • You will need to be a settled UK Citizen
  • You won't be considered if you are residing overseas
  • You will likely require your own transport in order to commute to the site.

What's on Offer:

  • Temp (probation) to perm after 12 weeks
  • Paying £17/hr while completing probation under First Achieve Recruitment
  • Paying circa £15/hr hour when candidate attains permanency
  • 39hr work week
  • 4.5 day work week
  • 7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and 7am to 12pm Fri
  • OT 1.5x

This role will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team of operatives in ensuring the efficient and continual, management and organisation, of products on the premise.

Duties will involve the following:

  • visual and some manual inspection of quality of final products including welds and assembly
  • reading design and assembly drawings
  • interpersonal, organisational and managerial skills

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must have:

  • experience of working in an industrial/hard manufacturing environment
  • (ideally) experience in using verniers, callipers and/or micrometres to assess finished products
  • experience of reading engineering drawings
  • a keen eye to detail in finished product quality
  • a steady and team oriented mindset
