My client is a leading manufacturing organisation that cover full product design to production on numerous sites across the UK.
There is the rare opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their well established site on the outskirts of Glasgow.The main purposes of the role are as follows:
- Conduct all product & process quality planning & implement all customer requirements conforming to OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ IATF 16949
- Ensure that customer processes & delivery performance are monitored, analysed and reported on, to ensure quality performance with regard to defects, quality costs & customer returns
- Ensure that root cause analysis for internal & external product or process non-conformances are reported to on time & shall ensure that the customer is kept informed of the corrective action / continuous improvement plans
- Ensure that the commercial interests of the client are protected in all dealings with customers
The responsibilities of the successful Quality Engineer will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- To implement & maintain customer requirements To continually improve customer's monthly performance (100% target) & DPPM with the target of 0% defective, and carry out the analysis & reporting of customer data
- To develop & implement process controls to ensure that process & quality objectives are met
- To ensure that OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 are adhered to in all processes
- To continually improve controls, systems & performance both internally and externally
- To ensure that production personnel and quality auditors fully understand quality requirement and support when quality issues arise. Quality Engineers have the authority to stop production to correct quality problems

- To ensure that customer requirements are met
- To continually improve the process, product & delivery performance (with the aim of zero DPPM) of their responsible customers
