Alexander Lloyd is partnered with a Pension's Consultancy who provide Pensions Administration, Actuarial and Trustee services to clients across the UK! Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Pensions Administrator to their BAU Administration team. This is an exciting opportunity which can offer an interesting working environment which will allow you to build a rewarding career.

This is a hybrid working role aligned to the Glasgow office, 2 days a week in the office, 3x days working from home.

About the role:

You will be responsible managing and maintaining the administration aspects of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes on behalf of the scheme trustees. The team carry out all types of exercises from winding up schemes and calculating members' pension benefits to carrying out forensic research for schemes where the business has been appointed by The Pensions Regulator, all the while providing an excellent service to the members.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process member benefits, including retirements, bereavements, divorces, transfers, joiner & leavers.
  • Producing complex and manual calculations.
  • Allocating and checking of work for junior members of the team.
  • Assist with projects as and when required (GMPe and data exercises, wind up of schemes)
  • Attendance of clients and trustee meetings

Key skills and experience required:

  • Strong Defined Benefits pension administration experience, ideally a minimum 5+ years from within a pension consultancy or TPA.
  • Strong understanding around UK pensions legislation, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent service to members and clients.
  • Experience in managing ad-hoc and annual pension projects would be advantageous.
