Senior Construction Buyer - Renewable Energy (Office based) - Glasgow - Salary circa £55,000 DOE

CBW have an excellent new opportunity for one of their fastest growing construction companies. Reporting to the Financial Director the Senior Buyer will be responsible for creating a new buying division. You will be responsible for growing and managing this division and growing your own team within the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer that is looking for a new challenge that they could bring their wealth of experience and implement into a growing business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Growing this division from ground up
  • Managing a robust procurement and ordering process.
  • System upgrade and implementation.
  • Providing prices for all materials included in project plans and drawings.
  • Identifying potential suppliers and new products.
  • Contacting suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations.
  • Agreeing delivery times.
  • Keeping detailed records and maintaining well-organized work schedules
  • Negotiating contracts with supplier
  • Performing cost analysis
