Due to company growthKaizen Trainingare looking for a dynamicSVQ Assessor/Verifierto join our existing team where you will be required to support people working towards SVQ in Adult Health & Social Care Levels 2, 3 & 4.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying skills that people have and focus on areas that require improvement.
- Conduct assessments during the candidates working day and provide feedback about standards that are not being met within their remit.
- Internal verification & qualification approval activities under the conditions, timescales & arrangements set by SQA.
- Verification of qualifications in the subject area(s) concerned to ensure that standards are maintained.
What does work as an SVQ Assessor/Verifier consist of
- To undertake candidate induction and ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed.
- Identify & support candidates who require assessment arrangements.
- Assess candidate evidence against the National standards.
- Record assessment decisions & provide feedback to candidates on submitted evidence.
- Attend and participate in standardisation meetings.
- Maintain a CPD record and make this available to SQAs external quality assurance staff.
- Participate in any assessment appeal as indicated in the centre appeals procedure.
- Attend and participate in any visits by SQA quality assurance staff.
- Assist assessors in the standardisation of assessment evidence and sharing of best practice.
- Countersign evidence as confirmation of verification.
- Complete internal verification reports and summary sheets.
- Participate in any complaint as indicated in the centre complaints procedure.
- Report any breach in the security of material from SQAs secure site to SQA immediately.
Essential Skills/Qualifications
- Undertake required training to demonstrate current understanding of SQAs QA policies & processes that are relevant to the QA activity.
- Experience of subject matter (e.g. care at home).
- Commitment to continually improving the quality of care & support provided to people in Scotland Ability.
- Complete quality assurance reports as per SQA quality standards and within agreed timescales.
- Engage with all members of the team, SQA centres personnel Submit a current Personal Development Plan (PDP) and CPD record within agreed timescales where appropriate.
- Knowledge of the importance of honouring work commitments, agreements & arrangements.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English both writing and verbally.
- Experience of working in the Adult Health & Social Care sector.
- You must be able to assess level 4 Health and Social care.
- SVQ Vocational Qualification at SCQF L9 in Social Services Healthcare.
- SVQ Qualification in Assessment (D32 & D33 or A1 or L&D 9DiLevel 3).
- SVQ Level 3 or above.
- External/Internal Verifier award for SVQ.
