Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity with a leading construction and fit-out contractor?

We're working with a busy Glasgow based contractor to source a Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team. Known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including commercial, retail, education, healthcare, and hospitality, you can expect to work on a varied project portfolio.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of construction projects, working closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. You will be responsible for managing costs, minimising risks, and maximizing value.

Key responsibilities:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for projects.
- Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
- Advising on all commercial reports; assuring valuations are maximised and paid on time.
- Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
- Managing and monitoring project costs from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
- Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.

Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
- Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and standard forms of contracts.
