Overview:
The business is a leading UK construction consultancy, who owing to an internal promotion are now looking for a high-quality Senior QS for their Glasgow office. This is a rarely-available opportunity to work with some of the best in the business, and to challenge your abilities with high-value projects.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tender and contract documents.
- Manage risks, value, and costs.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Write progress reports.
- Value completed work and arrange payments.
- Stay updated on building contracts and health and safety regulations.
- Mentor junior staffÂ
Requirements:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in a senior role.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying software.
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- MRICS or FRICS.
