Company Overview:
Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a temporary basis. This is an exceptional chance to be involved in a new multi-million-pound Power Transmission Framework project for SSE, right from the Early Contractor Involvement stage through to its successful completion.

What You Can Expect:

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Duration: Up to 6 months (could extend to 12 months)
  • Location: Outskirts of Glasgow, with work focused on transmission projects in the North of Scotland
  • Rate:  Competitive depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects within the power sector, ensuring cost control and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate cost forecasts, financial reports, and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Administer contracts and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters, resolving disputes and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
  • Previous experience on large-scale civil engineering or renewable projects.
