iMultiply is working in partnership with a national accountancy practice that is looking to recruit a Senior Manager/Manager to lead its R&D/Innovation & Technology team in Scotland.

The Company

The Practice provides tax, audit and assurance, advisory and business outsourcing services to companies across all sectors of the economy. It is part of a global network and has offices in 18 locations in the UK.

The Role

This is a client-facing role where you will be liaising with key business stakeholders (CEO, finance director, technical director) from a wide range of industry sectors that undertake development activities. The team provides the following services:

  • Claiming R&D tax relief, R&D Tax Credits and RDEC.
  • R&D Allowances (RDAs) - in collaboration with our specialist capital allowances team.
  • Grants.
  • Patent Box.
  • International R&D relief

The Person

Suitable candidates will have some of the following experience:

  • Experience of leading and managing the preparation of technical and financial assessments for R&D tax relief claims.
  • Ability to identify R&D projects and expenditure through participation in technical and financial discussions with existing and potential clients.
  • Strong experience in the R&D tax relief services or industry equivalent
  • Degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent or, alternatively, a holder of a university degree in science or technology, or computer science/ software development (BSc, MSc, and/or PhD). This in combination with a business degree would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience of working independently on R&D tax relief claims for companies of all sizes, with proven record of comfortably liaising with Managing Directors, Financial Directors, CEOs , CTOs etc… of such companies
