Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support our General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion and knowledge of spirits, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the bar’s operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Ensure the bar maintains its high standards of quality and service.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to provide exceptional service and product knowledge.
  • Oversee the scheduling and management of staff shifts.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor financial performance and assist in budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for whisky and other spirits.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A valid personal license is preferred.
