The Role – Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving growth across Scotland. You will focus on developing existing accounts while also identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role is a mix of field-based sales and office time at the Scotland Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in line with sales targets.
  • Maximise revenue by promoting a full range of hire products and services.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop sales proposals and agreements tailored to client needs.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at industry events and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide market insights and sales reports to the senior management team.
About You
  • Proven experience in field sales and account development.
  • Background in the hire industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • IT literate and confident using CRM systems.
