Development Account Executive - Scotland

Location: Scotland (Hybrid & Flexible Working Available)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

They are seeking an experienced Development Account Executive to retain and grow an existing portfolio while driving new business across Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and client-focused insurance professional to join a forward-thinking company that values growth and relationship-building.



The Role

This role is pivotal in managing, retaining, and expanding a portfolio of commercial insurance clients while generating new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retain and develop an existing book of business within the commercial insurance market.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by performing detailed fact-finds and understanding client needs.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as their key point of contact for all insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated Account Handler team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Achieve new business growth targets through proactive networking and relationship-building.
  • Maintain a professional and consultative approach in all client interactions.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as an Insurance Account Executive with a focus on new business development and client retention.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial insurance market and products.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and client-focused approach to relationship management.
  • Skilled in face-to-face client relationship building, with a track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Commitment to staying up to date with industry developments and regulatory changes.
