The Role of Area Sales Engineer

  • A field-based sales engineering role covering a territory of Scotland and Northern England.
  • 80% account management with a small amount (20%) of new business.
  • Selling a range of materials testing systems into academic institutions and end users with a host of engineering disciplines
  • The role involves an amount of travel across the territory, including Germany twice per year.
  • Occasional overnights; typically around 3 per month.
  • Full UK drivers licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • Hold a valid passport
  • A Monday - Friday role.

The Candidate for the Area Sales Engineer

  • Familiar with electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering principles.
  • Commercial awareness and able to have technical sales conversations with clients.
  • Existing technical sales experience or an engineer looking for a commercial role
  • Knowledge of Charpy, IZOD, Impact Testing, and ISO 148-1 is of distinct interest.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
  • Have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can't be provided.

The Package for the Area Sales Engineer
