Accounts Receivable Assistant

We are seeking a meticulous and competent Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a well-known and fast-growing waste management business in Glasgow.

This role will be responsible for manually raising invoices to clients and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality finance operations and achieving service excellence with a customer-focused approach.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Raising complex invoices via manual information
  • Liaising with clients and third-party contractors
  • Raising high volumes of sales invoices
  • Checking prices for services and materials
  • Allocating cash
  • Raising high volume purchase orders
  • Monitoring busy client mailbox
  • Using Navision software

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a sales ledger or similar role
  • Proven ability to raise and sales invoices
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using an accounting software, ideally Navision, but this is not essential
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level or higher.
