What Are We Looking For

CO-AT Marine is delighted to welcome applicants for our newly advertised position where we are looking to grow our team with the addition of Sheet Metal Workers to join our delivery team servicing projects across the UK, primarily operating from Port Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, Install, and Repair sheet metal products and equipment.
  • Read and interpret Detailed Installation Drawings, and Specifications in line with Project Requirements.
  • Measure, Install and Modify Sheet Metal using hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Operate power tools and machinery.
  • Install sheet metal components in accordance with project specifications.
  • Ensure all work is performed to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean, safe, and organised manner.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of various metals.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • UK Driving Licence.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Working in various environments, including workshops and construction sites.
