GO2, our unique day opportunities service in Springburn, supports young people from across Glasgow with additional support needs. Due to an increase in demand for our services we are currently looking for pro active Children's Workers to join our team on a part time basis.

In this exciting role you will provide the care and support appropriate to our fantastic children and young people. You will put them at the heart of what you do and ensure that you plan and implement activities to meet the individual needs and aspirations of every young person. You will ensure what we provide the highest quality of care everyday and night, so that our children feel safe, secure and well cared for. You will ensure that care plans are carried out, including the administration of medication, and model excellent social care practice.

This is a hands on role so you will be involved in the general day to day support and care (including personal care) of our children. You will act as a key worker to identified children and contribute to the setting up, carrying out and reviewing of care plans. You will support the families and carers of the young people and empower our children to access local services and leisure opportunities.

Ideally you will be qualified to SVQ 2 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) and have previous experience administering medication and previous experience working with children. But what is essential is that you are a positive, pro active team player who has a real passion for making a difference in the lives of the children we support. This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
