Working as part of a supportive team, you will build effective relationships with the young person you support allowing them to access local community services. On a one-to-one basis, you will support young people to gain social and independent living skills, utilising our hub as well as the young person’s local community. You will work alongside parents and guardians, to provide the very best experience for the young people we support. You will need strong communication skills as well as an understanding of some of the issues they may be facing. Ideally you have experience of working with children, particularly those with a learning disability, however, what is just as important is who you are and the creativity, innovation and enthusiasm that you can bring to this really important role.

Whilst you will be part of our friendly team based in our hub a significant part of this role involves working out in the community on a one to one basis with the young person you support. So you need to be self motivated, reliable and able to manage your time effectively to ensure that the young person has a fulfilling day.
