We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to residents, promoting their independence and overall well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and administering medication.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Use positive behaviour support strategies to manage and support residents with challenging behaviours.
  • Organise and encourage participation in social activities and community engagement to improve quality of life.
  • Collaborate closely with health care professionals, families, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
  • Maintain detailed records and contribute to care planning, adhering to all relevant health and social care standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities (essential).
  • Compassionate, patient, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care in line with safeguarding policies.
