Our Counselling West team are looking for experienced volunteer counsellors (qualified or in training) to join our Bluebell Perinatal service.
CrossReach Bluebell Service offers support to parents and families expecting a child, or whose youngest child is under the age of three. Our trained counsellors and therapists are experienced, compassionate and offer support without judgement. We offer support to those experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma or any other difficulties before or after having a baby. The team offers a wide range of therapies to ensure the best type of support is received. Our volunteers deliver support from our Glasgow city centre premises as well as remotely by phone and video calls between the hours of 9AM 5PM, Monday to Thursday.
This volunteering opportunity is an ideal role for a counsellor who would like to gain further experience working in the field of Perinatal care.
Volunteer applicants are asked to either be fully qualified or working towards their diploma / post graduate diploma, having already completed a minimum of 50 clinical hours.
Once you have passed your interview stage, we will apply for a PVG Membership for you, whether this be a new membership or an update to an existing membership. If you join us as a volunteer counsellor we will ask that you provide us with the name and contact details of your external supervisor.
Interviews will be held week beginning 19th of November and induction will be held at the beginning of next year. Please note, we expect a high number of applications so we may close this vacancy early.
Role & requirements
