Senior Carer | Scotland – Field Based | 37.5 – 40 hours per week | £25,350 per annum

Are you an experienced carer with a passion for leading teams and supporting individuals with diverse needs? If so, our client has an exciting opportunity for you!

They are seeking a dedicated Senior Carer to join their dynamic domiciliary care team, supporting older adults and individuals with physical needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), learning disabilities (LD), and autism.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar setting, particularly with EBD or LD
  • Proven leadership skills with experience supervising or developing a team
  • Qualified in Health & Social Care (e.g., SVQ/NVQ Level 3)
  • Registered with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends

What will your role look like?

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans tailored to each service user's needs
  • Monitor compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety standards
  • Oversee rotas and staffing levels for effective shift management
  • Provide hands-on support during challenging situations and offer guidance to care coordinators
  • Build positive relationships with families, external agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and support staff development through training
