About you:? You are a reliable, dynamic and skilled leader with a deep passion for technology. Your mission is to build and lead a diverse, high-performing SaaS software engineering team that aligns with our business growth goals and Product Engineering strategies. With experience in delivering high-quality SaaS software across various technologies, you focus on optimizing delivery, quality, and team engagement. You excel in organizing engineering teams for success, fostering strong relationships within your squad and across the business. You take ownership of issues, are curious about the problem space, and facilitate teamwork to generate solutions that enable our customers to serve theirs. You remain calm under pressure, think ahead, and drive momentum. You use reliable data to make objective decisions in both engineering and business contexts. You are comfortable working in a scaled agile environment with team members across different geographies and time zones, and happy to travel within the UK and internationally to locations, such as Romania.Day-to-day, you will:? • Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and Architecture to ensure your team designs and develops high-quality software solutions that meet requirements and acceptance criteria.• Establish and evolve engineering standards through discussion and adherence.• Lead an agile squad, driving technical excellence, accountability and predictability for team deliverables.• Ensure your squad meets quality gates and manage mitigation plans if needed.• Proactively manage the roadmap with your squad and Product Manager, balancing technical, commercial, and risk factors.• Participate in requirements analysis, identify gaps, contribute to discussions, and understand the scope, risk, and complexity of changes.• Communicate key metrics to track progress, risks, quality, and areas for improvement.• Discuss performance of team members against role responsibilities, competencies, and objectives, setting and monitoring remedial actions as needed.Your skills and experiences might also include:?? • Tech Stack: Strong background in PHP, Python, MySQL running on AWS and associated PaaS services.• Team Management: Proven ability to lead and mentor a SaaS Software Engineering team, fostering a collaborative, safe and high-performance environment.• Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables.• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members across different geographies.• Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.• Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with the latest technology trends and adapt to new tools and practices.Love Work.
