LEAD DEVELOPER - OUTSIDE IR35 - 6 MONTHS INITIAL
Loriens client has an exciting new contract opportunity for a Lead Developer for an initial 6 months.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentorship and delivery capability to a newly established team with pressing need to migrate to a new AWS platform to meet organisational cost reduction and modernisation objectives.
Essential skills and experience
- Experience of working with Service Oriented Architectures developed with Java and Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of both modern AWS and development good practice
- Experience of working with, building, modernisation and migration of Java and Spring Boot based microservices
- Experience of working with public cloud technologies (for this role, we require AWS specifically)
- Experience of TDD and Unit-Test tooling
- Experience of acting in a position of seniority within engineering teams within Government projects to deliver/enhance public facing services
- Familiar with JavaScript and best-practice approaches
- Demonstrable experience in mentoring and conducting knowledge transfer to junior permanent in-house staff
Also nice to have:
- Experience of working with Terraform scripts
- Experience of working with TypeScript
- Experience of working with AuroraDB or MySQL
- Experience with Linux based shell scripting
