SERVICENOW DEVELOPER - OUTSIDE IR35 - INITIAL 6 MONTH

One of Loriens leading Edinburgh based Public Sector clients is looking for a highly experience ServiceNow Developer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

An experienced ServiceNow consultant/developer is required to ensure the steady progress on the development of the platform in areas of ITSM Maturity, Governance Risk and Compliance, HR Service Delivery, Flow Automation, Service Portal forms development and other aspects of the transformation platform ServiceNow. You will be expected to provide or contribute to design recommendations based on your experience with these modules.

You will be working alongside the ServiceNow team using an agile delivery methodology and attend various sprint ceremonies including planning, daily standups, backlog refinement and retrospectives.

This role is primarily development focused with some level 2 and 3 support duties. Work experience with integrations between ServiceNow and other platforms, Active Directory knowledge and Flow Designer is essential.

Experience with configuring/customising workspaces, AWS and Teams integrations, Employee Center and Risk and Information Governance will be a distinct advantage. The successful supplier will be familiar with ITIL practices and multiple disciplines of current technologies.

Main outcomes & objectives

* Assist in the adoption of ServiceNow modules through tool customisation* Design and develop front end Service Portal forms* Design and develop backend workflows (Flows)* Perform support and technical documentation

Essential skills & experience

significant and demonstrable commercial experience in the following areas:

  • Experience of the current version of the ServiceNow platform
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of the platform mechanics and best practices
  • Experience working with Import Sets, Transform Maps and Robust Transforms via IRE
  • Knowledge of CMDB, CSDM & Asset Management Experience in development of at least one of the following:
  • Self-Service Portal (beyond Catalogue Items)
  • AD/Azure AD Integration * Scoped Applications
  • Strong teamwork, self-managing and self-initiative, coaching, collaboration & communication skills
  • HTML, XML, CSS & JSON
  • JavaScript development independent of and within the ServiceNow framework
