Your new companyOur client is a large operator of important transport infrastructure in the UK.Your new roleThe Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop sustainable procurement strategies aligned with business needs, provide strategic direction to a wide range of Business Stakeholders within the organisation and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships using expert knowledge to manage market fluctuations and ensure operational compliance to achieve targeted cost reductions within their category. As a senior manager, they will lead and support the Opex Category Managers to lead tenders, negotiations, and supplier evaluations across business, developing and monitoring Service Level Agreements with external providers and key stakeholders. As a senior manager, they will be an integral part of the organisational leadership team and be accountable for driving value for money, ensuring strong governance and adherence to the frameworks in place. Responsible for leading the delivery of financial and non-financial value improvement activities identified in the supply chain business within the categories of gas and electricity.What you'll need to succeedStrong procurement experience, a proven background and a track record in a strategic senior Energy & Utilities Procurement role. Experience of drafting ITT documents and contracts. Strong analytical skills and sound judgement. Demonstrate a record of strong commercial management and negotiation skills. Demonstrate evidence of good communication skills, including presenting and leading workshops.
