Supply Chain Manager

Anderson Knight is currently hiring a Supply Chain Manager for one of our clients based in Glasgow City Centre.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximise process efficiency and productivity. This role requires a professional with a solid background in construction or engineering, who can ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's objectives.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services for construction and engineering projects.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms and conditions.
• Manage and optimize the supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to forecast demand and plan supply chain activities accordingly.
• Monitor supply chain performance and implement improvements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing supply chain operations and leading teams.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
