SRG are delighted to be exclusively partnered with one of Scotland's most innovative and exciting early stage science companies. Having had an extremely busy and exciting year in 2024, the organisation are now looking to expand their operations into a new custom built site in the West End of Glasgow and as part of this expansion are looking for a operations manager to lead their new production site.

The Role

As the production operations manager you will report directly into the site director and will lead a team of up to 40 individuals across the new site. You will play a key role in recruitment, target setting, team leadership and process development ensuring company targets are consistently met.

You will oversee the day-to-day operations and actions of a growing team of production chemists, ensuring effective use of various automated chemical platforms. As part of the leadership you will be expected to lead by example and demonstrate the best practises you will be implementing across the site.

This role also involves a large degree of interaction with other business units (R&D, Software engineering, Hardware Engineering), ensuring that all developments elsewhere in the business are efficiently implemented into the production environment.

The Right Person

  • Vast demonstrable operations experience in a relevant industry (Pharmaceutical manufacturing, CRO, Drug development)
  • Able to demonstrate and agile and driven personality
  • Prior experience in a start-up environment is desirable
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills
  • Demonstrable experience in process improvement
