What You'll Do: As a Graduate HVAC Detail Designer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Creating and Modifying: Develop HVAC routed systems and Bills of Materials (BOM) within an integrated whole ship 3D Model (FORAN).
- 2D Outputs Generation: Produce clear and concise 2D outputs from fully developed 3D Models, adhering to project-specific quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HVAC System Designers and other spatial design teams to resolve integration issues and craft effective solutions.
- Data Interpretation: Understand and work with information provided by HVAC system owners, including data sheets and equipment BOMs.
- Schematic Reading: Interpret complex schematic diagrams to integrate HVAC systems efficiently.
- Catalogue Utilisation: Work with HVAC equipment and parts catalogues for effective equipment selection.
What You Bring: To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Essential:
- Familiarity with the engineering design process.
- Experience with a recognised Computer Aided Design (CAD) package.
- Knowledge of Bills of Materials.
- Proficiency in creating CAD drawing outputs.
- Ability to work with equipment selection part catalogues.
- Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Naval or Commercial shipbuilding.
- Understanding of HVAC systems (building services experience is welcome!).

- Full security clearance is necessary; a valid DBS/Disclosure Scotland certificate is mandatory, with costs covered by the company.
